Product Description
Cold rolled grain oriented silicon steel is an important ferrosilicon alloy widely used in the manufacturing industry of transformers (iron cores). Its production process is complex and manufacturing technology is strict, mainly divided into ordinary oriented silicon steel (CGO) and high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel (HiB).
The magnetism of oriented silicon steel has strong directionality, with the lowest iron loss value, highest magnetic permeability, and high magnetic induction value in the rolling direction under a certain magnetization field. The silicon content of oriented silicon steel is about 3%, and it requires a low content of oxide inclusions in the steel, as well as the presence of certain inhibitors (such as MnS, AIN).
There are two types of cold-rolled grain oriented silicon steel sheets: grain unoriented and grain oriented. Grain oriented cold rolled strips are commonly used as iron cores for motors or welding transformers; Grain oriented cold-rolled strips are used as iron cores for power transformers, pulse transformers, and magnetic amplifiers. Cold rolled oriented thin silicon steel strip is made by pickling, cold rolling, and annealing 0.30 or 0.35mm thick oriented silicon steel strip. Cold rolled non oriented silicon steel sheets are made by hot-rolling steel billets or continuous casting billets into coils with a thickness of approximately 2.3mm.
Cold rolled silicon steel strip has the characteristics of flat surface, uniform thickness, high stacking coefficient, good punching performance, and higher magnetic induction and lower iron loss compared to hot-rolled silicon steel strip. Using cold strips instead of hot rolled strips to manufacture motors or transformers can reduce their weight and volume by 0% -25%.
